Yo, check this New Breed throws down hard with "Stop The Music" with some fresh old school style raps and mixes that pay respect to the OG's of rap like N.W.A. and Public Enemy. They mix it up pretty good with all 20 tracks, if you aren't down with the weak ass mainstream rap and want something that's more real than you gotta give New Breed a spin.
Ha ha, ok I'm not a homie so I get real
wit ya. Let's face it most mainstram rap today sounds pretty weak (missy
elliot) and there isn't much difference between rappers. It's not like
back in the day when you had Ice-T, Eazy-E, Ice Cube and Public Enemy,
all rappers who really stood out from each other. Currently rap seems to
be stuck in the same follow the leader mentality that has overtaken rock
and pop music. A big reason is because the major labels have gotten a hold
of it and we all know those ass clowns will milk something for all it's
worth and then move on to the next trend. Forget about worthless, no talent
s*** heads like Missy Elliot, if you are looking for rap that is more honest
to the genre and really from the street, than you gotta check out New Breed.
So New Breed is a really cool discovery, not because they are new and innovative
but because they follow closer to the old breed than the mainstream sellouts
representing rap at the moment.
