Most Nu-Metal bands owe more than a small debt to Biohazard. In Fact, Biohazard is one of the most overlooked influences on today's metal scene. They were one of the first bands to mix hardcore metal with hip-hop influences. More then a dozen years have passed since Biohazard formed on the mean streets of Brooklyn and since then they have carved out a nice niche for themselves in metal circles. "Uncivilized" marks the return of this pioneering band and they are in rare form. While there are plenty of imitators on record store shelves at the moment, unlike most of those bands, Biohazard once more proves that heavy thrash metal style can be successfully mixed with hip-hop. Their raw street level music doesn't come with all the slick polish of newer groups like Crazy Town, instead they aim for a bone crushing intensity that may keep them off of TRL but should give them respect from where it really counts, with the fans! Old time fans won't be disappointed and younger Rap-core fans should check out "Uncivilized" to see how it is really done!
