Sick of all the rap-metal crap? Static-X has the cure to what ills heavy music today. If "Wisconsin Death Trip" made you a fan of Static-X, "Machine" will more than live up to your expectations. Their brand of in your face metal follows in the tradition of Pantera meets White Zombie and leaves the great pretenders that are all the rage in Malls across America in their wake. What sets Static-X apart from other heaviest of the heavy metal brigade is their use of machine-like rhythms and samples. While others have tried to use this formula to bad results, Static-X uses these "technical" aspects to add a flavor to the music and it works well for them. Although they use sampling and industrial beats a little more extensively on "Machine" Static-X still delivers in the area where it counts the most high-octane rock-n-roll.
From the opening track "Get To The Gone"
all the way through the final song, "A Dios Alma Perdida" Static-X grabs
the listener by the throat and releases a relentless metal assault to the
eardrums the may cause many to bang their heads against the wall into a
bloody pulp! Yeah you could go off and listen to those rap-core bands
but if you want the genuine article buy this CD!
