MTV has spread a lot of misconceptions about the Goo Goo Dolls. Most people think this is a band that puts out sappy love song and after love song, but there is a lot more to these guys then the stuff you see and hear on the radio and MTV. Ok they may be partially to blame, when "Name" became a monster hit for them all the public heard from these guys were the love songs like "Slide" and "Iris" but if you bought the CD and put it on you were surprised by how these guys could actually rock!
It looks like the band has seen the errors
of their ways. This new compilation of album tracks showcases the band's
diversity and the songs that made them international stars are curiously
absent. That's a good thing, because this may offer people a second chance
to discover the real Goo Goo Dolls who do have a lot to offer aside from
sappy ballads.
