Fort Wayne. Indiana isn't exactly known as the rock capitol of the world but the happy go lucky guys in Jettingham are bound and determined to put it on the map with their Republic/Universal debut album. If you have a penchant for the brand of guitar driven power-pop pioneered by Green Day, you'll find some new heroes in Jettingham as they offer a full palette of hooks, melodies and of course some tongue and cheek humor.
While the formula that goes into what has become known as "pop-punk" is pretty restrictive musically, Jettingham manages to stay within the bounds and still create catchy power-pop tunes with plenty of guitar, driving beats and infectious choruses, everything that made the genre popular in the first place. They may not be reinventing the wheel, but they are masters at driving the vehicle that is "punk-pop". With lyrics like "We don't go to bed/We just have sex" and "If I'm leaving with a broken heart, you're leaving with a broken nose", it's just goodtime rock n roll with lots of humor. Fans of Green Day, Sum 41 and Alien Ant Farm should welcome Jettingham with open arms.
