Duran Duran - A Diamond in the Mind

.
It's been a long time since Duran Duran has been a vital band but they still mean something to those who were around to enjoy the group's heyday, back when they were MTV darlings and purveyors of hits like "Rio" and "Hungry Like the Wolf." This show presents a selection of hits ranging from the Bond theme "A View to a Kill" to the sublime "Ordinary World" to the previously mentioned smashes and also includes a handful of newer songs from last year's Mark Ronson-produced All You Need is Now, an effort that brought a younger audience into the DD camp. For sheer DD excitement you need to look to the group's earlier video output but if you want to see a band aging gracefully and still very much devoted to their craft then A Diamond in the Mind will do just fine.
