The band slows down the mood in the next song "Ace Rudy Haightley." This song feels a bit like an early Stones tune.
"Evan William's Blues" is Slow Gun Shogun's gritty spin on the blues. It's not necessarily Chicago or Delta Blues. Think more along the lines of Five Horse Johnson or Tenderloin.
This 6-song EP has some tunes that you will definitely want to crank. The band shows some pretty decent range, from balls-out rock to blues to mellow tunes like "Wish I Could Fix it All (with Some Hoodoo)." It is raw and short (only 19 minutes), but it's well-done and I wouldn't mind hearing a full-length album from this band.
