There is an old expression which says that the family who plays together, stays together. That is certainly so with this family. It all started with one child and a fiddle. Soon the second child joined big brother with another fiddle. And it wasn't long, not wanting to be left out of the fun, the third child joined his big brother and little sister with yet another fiddle. And shortly thereafter Fiddlers 3 was born. Mom Mary Ann joined her children on the stage, not with a fiddle, but with the accordion. After raiding the family kitchen and laundry room Dad Lorne joined his family on stage as the percussionist. Children Stefan, Andrian, and Elaina would wear heavy soled shoes to help Dad with the percussion.

That was over 10 years and several awards and championships ago. Today the family band has added two new members in the form of a bass player and a drummer. Fiddlers 3 has also released their third album "Volume 3 � the Rhythm Chapter"

Like their previous albums "Rhythm Chapter" is a collection of ceilidh style pieces. The band's motto is "We dare you to keep your feet still", and the album is designed to make sure you don't sit still. Besides a new set of tunes "Rhythm Chapter" includes original works by all three fiddlers.

The album includes eleven pieces that will get you moving and don't be fooled into thinking you'll get a break when a tune starts off slow. That's only for catching your breath before the dancing begins again.
