In a VH1 Legends concert, Hank Williams Jr. and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd were asked who would carry on in their footsteps. The answer were artists like Bo and 3 Doors Down. "The Redneck Revolution" as Bice called it is alive and going strong with "See the Light".
Before Bice, American Idol had seen only pop artists. Bo changed all that and set a new precedent in the process with his rocking style country boy sound. The long haired rocker placed second place to a country girl from Oklahoma.
This husband and father of a little boy was born Harold Bice in Helena, Alabama. While on tour with the summer Idol tour Bice was hospitalized and eventually underwent surgery to repair some intestinal problems.
Bice has healed and as the lyrics in the song by Lynyrd Skynyrd state, "the south's going to do it again." "See the Light" is an album ready for rock and roll southern style.
