After graduating from high school the boys left their home in a small Montana town for Nashville to seek a musical career. Since then the boys have signed with Curb Records, moved to Los Angeles, and released their debut album "Rise Up".
The first single was released even before the album was completed. A hit titled "Number One in Heaven" the video sat at the top of the viewer voted Click List on the MTV Network LOGO until the song was eventually retired from the list after several weeks at number one. LOGO also aired a reality series documenting the Miller twins journey for Montana to a record deal and recording an album.
Sharing the role of lead singer Jacob and Joshua's musical education came from their parent's record collection. It is here that the boys learned how to sing and harmonize After the release of "Rise Up" Nemesis Rising toured the United Kingdom and that is being followed by a US tour.
The album cover lists a collection of nine original and cover songs. On covers "Hot Child in the City" and the Chris Rea hit "Fool if You Think it's Over" Nemesis Rising has learned the fine art of making a song your own without trying to be a copycat of the original artist or a mimicking karaoke wanna be. While the album cover only lists nine songs there is a tenth track - beautiful rendition of "He Was a Friend of Mine" which was produced by superstar entertainer Barry Manilow.
The album is a well put together piece of work that shows off Nemesis Rising's Jacob and Joshua's pop and rock talents. If there is a fault with the album it is that at times the band is so enthusiastic in their work that they nearly drowned out the boys voices. But Nemesis Rising has everything a fledgling rock band needs for success in music today; catchy tunes, driving rock beats, lyrics that speak from the heart, and hunky model looking lead singers.
