The new album "Call Me Irresponsible" contains 13 tracks of standard, contemporary, and original tunes in Buble's signature Sinatra-esque style.
Among the standards made popular by Sinatra in the forties and fifties among others of the era is the Mel Torme song "Comin' Home Baby" which Buble' performs with the R&B group Boyz II Men, the Eric Clapton tune "Wonderful Tonight" with Brazilian Ivan Lins with Lins singing in his native Portuguese, and Buble' puts his spin on the hit "Me and Mrs. Jones".
Buble', a Vancouver native, learned to love the music of the crooner era from his Italian grandfather whom Buble' spent time while his parents were out to sea fishing. Buble's grandfather would often trade his plumbing skills for young Michael to sing in a lounge. It is here that Buble' hones his skills until he was "discovered" while performing at the wedding of a former Prime Minister's daughter.
Since that time Buble' had had two platinum selling records, is a Grammy nominee, a Juno Award winner, and sold over eleven million records.
"Call Me Irresponsible" is an album that spans the generations with something for everyone.
