While it's not a horrendous album, it's far from noteworthy among some of the better executed metal releases this year. Searing guitars, driving bass, and thunderous drums can be felt throughout, but the thing that holds this release back is its lack of the ability to stand out in a crowd.
This is the kind of metal release you'd expect from a band's first or second major release, but being that this is the fourth release on Victory, in addition to a slew of full-length and EP releases dating as far back as 1996, you'd expect the band to have come much further by now.
