Brown Shoe - Vanity Review

.
This quartet of three brothers and a friend from Folsom, California who began playing in a garage were inspired by British pop music.

"Vanity" is the band's follow up to their debut album "The Wheat Patch" "Vanity" is a collection of 13 original songs. While Brown Shoe can easily be compared to the Icelandic group Sigur Ros in style, but Brown Shoe will never be mistaken for the Icelanders because Brown Shoe has a sound all their own. While unlike Sigur Ros the boys in Brown Shoe sing in English, but their vocals are at times just as incomprehensible and on occasion explicit.

The music of Brown Shoe leans more toward the rock side than the ambient side. While New Age and Meditation music fans may find the music of Brown Shoe a bit much for their taste; the rockers can view it as the ultimate in chill out music. And no matter what your musical preferences Brown Shoe provide for some interesting sounds and choral progressions to enthrall anyone who studies musical composition and theory.
