Bearsick like Billy's other releases was written, produced, engineered, sung and everything else by Mr. Harvey himself. He even recorded the majority of the songs on his own laptop. The disc can be described in whole as a kind of acoustic downbeat conscious-expanding emo psychobilly melodrama. I know that's kinda confusing but just be glad I couldn't fit electronica in there to because there's actually a little of that also and if I could have gotten it to sound right I would have. "Beck like" would be another way to characterize the songs on the disc. Billy's music is precise with his somber yet complex voice and rough whispers that combine perfectly with the harmony. A couple of the standout tracks would be the opening song called "Scribblers Heart" and the slightly friendlier "ImayImay" with a very simple but catchy chorus.
Bearsick is the fourth release Billy has crafted and he has shown in it that his integrity is present and he's not going to compromise his vision of his music.
