Like any legend though, Prince Paul manages some Baby E moments. Getting Shock G to appear automatically makes "Plainfield" a favorite. Anyone who grew up with Digital Underground will appreciate the voice that brought us "The Humpty Dance". Has George Clinton ever hurt a track? When he dies, artists and producers should pull a Tupac with him, and put his vocals on numerous tracks. The most funkalicious track is "Fred Berry", because I couldn't dance to it, but since What's Happening (I even liked Now) is one of the best shows in the history of American television, I miss the hell out of Rerun, and he would devour that song. He would be a brilliant blur on the dance floor.
Turn My Teeth Up! has many tracks that shed a dull light on the world of Funk, and some guest appearances that are downright brutal (see David Byrne), but the inclusion of a couple legends (one in flesh and one in spirit) and a big nose that knows, saves Prince Paul from complete disaster.
Tracks added to iPod: Plainfield featuring Shock G, Scratchinatanitchouttareach featuring George Clinton, Fred Berry
