musicNEWS : Quickies - RHCP, Soul Asylum, and the Szuters
Looks like Soul Asylum is looking for a new home. The band is trying to get out of it's deal with Columbia Records. The band had a mega-hit in 1992 with the triple platinum "Grave Dancers Union" , but have been unable to recapture the success of the album with their last two releases, "Candy From a Stranger", and "Let your dim Light Shine". This news comes from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which stated that the band has filed paperwork with the label, asking to be released. The star also said that Columbia has refused a couple of new songs written by the group. So far Columbia has not released the band from their deal. So we'll have to wait and see what happens. Las
Vegas, NV. The Szuters
have released a special edition number EP available only through the mail.
The EP features four new songs, from the under rated hard pop band. No
news on when to expect the next album. But you can be sure it will be great.
Details on how to order the EP are available from the band's US labels'
home page, Decompression
Records.
