The CD registered sales of 283,624 units in the first week in stores according to SoundScan.
The Dixie Chicks three-week ride at the top of the charts has officially ended. Elsewhere on the charts, sominex induced yuppie favorite Kenny G landed at No. 9 with his new album Paradise (keep an ear out for soccor moms blaring this opus from their SUVs and Minivans). Wanna-be punkster Avril Lavigne has been relegated to No. 3, Nelly remains at No. 4 and Eminem drops a couple spots to No 5 pushing Toby Keith all the way down to No. 10.
And people wonder why album sales are down this year.
