Neurotica has made such an impression so far on their debut voyage on this years Ozzfest that organizers have decided to give the band a bump up in the line-up. Instead of their original slot that began at 9:30 each day with Andrew Wk, Chevelle, Flaw, Soil, 3rd Strike, Pulse Ultra, Otep, and Apex Theory rotating sets, Neurotica has been moved up to the second slot that begins at 11:30 where they will rotate slots with Il Nino, Lostprophets.
Originally discovered by AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson in a Florida club, Neurotica was the first band to release a studio album on the WWEs Smackdown Records, when their self-titled debut hit stores last month. Aside from healthy airplay, Neurotica, whose second studio album, Living In Dog Years won our Album of the Year Award in 1999 is also the focus of a special feature on our sister site Rocknworld.com, which has been renamed NeuroticaWorld for the month of July to celebrate the release of their new album.
Kelly Shaefer, former vocalist of the deathmetal outfit, Atheist, fronts the band. To find out more about the band and read about Kelly and his bands experience on Ozzfest this year, you can visit Rocknworlds special feature, which includes song samples from the new album, an exclusive remix of their current hit single, an interview with Kelly, as well as Neuroticas Ozzfest Tour Diary.
