The drug charges came after Bach was arrested
and officers found him in possession of five grams of marijuana and four
packets of rolling papers. Since the bartenders testimony was not needed
to prosecute Bach on the drug charges, the court upheld them. Bach requested
a conditional release, which is a alternative sentencing program in place
for first time drug offenders where they are offered the option of undergoing
a period of state supervision instead of going through standard criminal
procedures.
Under the conditions of his conditional
discharge, Bach was order to pay a fine of $860 and agree to undergo one
year of state supervision. If Bach completes his one-year of supervision
the related drug charges will be dropped.
According to press accounts, Bach, who had a short-lived VH1 series Forever Wild, is said to be currently working on a new studio album and DVD as well as contemplating taking a role in a Los Angeles production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
