MTV is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne has received clearance from his doctors to resume his co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie. As we reported earlier this week Ozzy was forced to call-off 10 dates on his current A Night of Merry Mayhem tour after he discovered he had broken his leg. The Madman of metal will make his return to the stage in Grand Forks, ND on Nov 29th.
At press time it is uncertain whether the cancelled dates will be rescheduled.
For those who missed it, here is the article we ran earlier this week about Ozzys injury.
Ozzys
cancels tour dates due to a broken leg.
Ozzy has been forced to pull the plug
on ten of the Merry Mayhem tour dates due to a broken leg.
According to a statement, Osbourne broke his leg when he fell coming out of the shower Halloween night before taking the stage in Tucson Az. Unaware that he had broken his leg, Ozzy continued performing each night until the pain became too great for him and he sought medical treatment on November 8th. To his dismay he discovered that the fall had caused a stress fracture in his leg. The attending doctor ordered Ozzy to take it easy and stay off his leg. As a result the Metal Madman has been forced to scrap ten of the dates on his current tour with Rob Zombie and Mudvayne as he returned home to Los Angeles to seek treatment from his regular physician.
Aside from the immediate date cancellations, the New Years Eve concert in Phoenix has also been scrapped. Merry Mayhem organizers told the press the Phoenix shows cancelled because "the current climate reflects the public's need to be with their families this holiday season. Both Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie have the utmost respect for their fans and share their desire to be with loved ones this New Year's Eve."
