Pollstar is reporting that Guns N Roses have once again pushed back their planned European tour. The tour was originally scheduled to take place last summer but was scrapped when the band announced that lead guitarist Buckethead was suffering from internal hemorrhaging. The band was set to make up that cancelled tour in December but now they have pulled the plug on those plans as well.
"To ensure Guns N' Roses fans get the album they deserve, Axl Rose has spent every waking minute of every day during the past five years writing, recording, and producing Guns' first album of all new material since 1991," band manager Doug Goldstein said in the Pollstar report.
"Unfortunately, Buckethead's illness not only stopped the tour, but it also slowed down progress on Chinese Democracy. As a result, touring right now is logistically impossible."
There is still no word on when Chinese Democracy will actually see the light of day.
In other GNR news, Former GNRs Steven
Adler made a rare appearance recently in Hollywood. Adler and Ratts Warren
DiMartini joined Enuff Znuff on stage at the Viper Room in Hollywood for
an impromptu jam of the Beatles classic Come Together during the final
show on Enuff Znuffs west coast tour. Often referred to by their fans
and the press as hard rocks answer to the Beatles, Enuff Znuff usually
includes at least one Fab Four song in their live sets. Also spotted in
the audience at the show were Stevie Rachelle and Bobby Blotzer.
