Is this a new trend? For the second week in a row a rock debut has landed the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts. Stainds major label sophomore effort, Break the Cycle will claim the No. 1 spot on the charts when they are published in next weeks issue of Billboard.
Just last week Tools highly anticipated release, Lateralus, landed at number 1, but Stainds new album pushed Tool into second place this week. Break the Cycle sold 716,000 in its first week on record store shelves, breaking the first week sales records of recent releases by Janet Jackson and Destinys Child.
The other highflying debut on next weeks chart will be rapper Redmans latest effort Malpractice. Here is a look at the Top 5:
1. Staind
2. Tool
3. Destinys Child
4. Redman
5. Missy Elliott
