Sean Puffy Combs walked out of court March 16th a free man after a jury found him not guilty on all charges. Puffy was facing a possible 15 to 30 years in prison (depending on who you ask) on bribery and illegal gun charges stemming from a shooting at a New York nightclub in 1999.
Puffys bodyguard, Anthony Wolf Jones, was also acquitted on all charges. Jamaal Shyne Baroow was not so lucky; while he beat an attempted murder rap he was convicted of two counts of assault, one count of illegal weapons possession and one count of reckless endangerment. Baroow has been remanded into custody until his formal sentencing in April.
The verdict came after the jury deliberated for two days following the seven-week trial. The most widely reported portion of the trial came two weeks ago when Puffy took the stand in his own defense, many speculate that it was this testimony that won over the jury to his side.
