Laguna Beach, CA, February 28 VANS, the legendary punk rock/skate shoe company is debuting a new European tour that will be an indoor complement to the annual Warped Tour. The first annual VANS Off the wall Club Tour is scheduled to kick off in Belgium on March 23, and will be headlined by veteran punk band Ignite. Other bands on the tour include SNFU, Venerea, Deviates and Powerhouse.
The VANS Off the wall Club Tour will be different from the Warped Tour in that the shows will be held in small clubs, in traditional punk fashion.
We really wanted to do something special in Europe for our new cd release in March, said Ignite guitarist Brett Rasmussen. Teaming up with VANS for this tour is an unbelievable opportunity to bring a festival type atmosphere into nightclubs. VANS has proven itself time and time again as a staple in the punk rock world and being able to help hand pick the band line-up in a territory that we are so familiar with is going to make this a great tour.
The VANS Off the wall Club Tour will also be a platform to create awareness for organizations such as Blue Planet Project and Doctors Without Borders with a portion of the proceeds from the tour being donated to these organizations to continue their fight. Fans will also be given information at the shows as to how they can get involved with these organizations.
