New tour and album on the horizon for Jeff Beck

1-16-01 Press Release

In February 2001, Epic recording artist Jeff Beckone of the greatest guitarists in rock and roll historywill release a brand-new studio album, You Had It Coming, and bring his new music to the stage on a headlining U.S. tour. In stores February 6, You Had It Coming is the successor to Who Else! Jeff Becks Grammy-nominated album of 1999and another stunning fusion of pure rock guitar and contemporary electronica. The ten tracks comprising You Had It Coming include seven new songs co-written by Jeff plus Earthquake by Jennifer Batten, second guitarist in his stage band; and Nadia, composed by Nitin Sawhney (whom Beck calls a genius - like an Asian Stevie Wonder). You Had It Coming was created by Jeff Beck, Aiden Love, and Andy Wright, and produced by Andy Wright. Andys expert production and programming has been heard on recordings by Massive Attack, Bon Jovi, Natalie Imbruglia, and Simply Red. The voice of Imogen Heap is heard on two tracks, Dirty Mind and the Muddy Waters classic Rollin and Tumblin.

Jeff Becks 2001 U.S. tour begins February 15 in Seattle, WA and concludes with two performances, March 22-23, at New Yorks Roseland Ballroom. For the upcoming tour, the Jeff Beck band will include Jennifer Batten (guitar), Randy Hope-Taylor (bass), and Andy Gangadeen (drums).
