Journey's Neal Schon Working On New Music03-20-2019
Journey's Neal Schon is keeping busy. In addition to his recent Journey Through Time shows, the guitarist is working on new music with producer Marti Frederiksen. Schon spoke about the topic with AZ Central. He revealed, "We have four songs - amazing songs - right now, and they definitely have commercial viability. "The story with him is gonna be a Chris Stapleton story because he's written so many hits for Aerosmith, Foreigner and many, many others. And he has an amazing voice. The second I heard him sing, all the hair on my arms stood up." The paper reports that they are making a full album and Neal hopes to record it while his Journey Through Time collaborator and former Journey and Santana bandmate Gregg Rolie is touring with Ringo Starr. Schon also has another album called "Universe" that he recorded with Narada Michael Walden and plans to release in August. He told the publication that he plans to do more touring, "I'm gonna put another band together and go out with that while Gregg is busy and we have to put JTT on hold for a second. "I'm gonna stay out there, man. I'm really having fun having my name out there. And I'm finding out that I have so many fans that want to hear so many facets of music that I've done throughout the years. And I've never really toured by myself with other great musicians."
