(Radio.com) One Direction's Liam Payne has announced the beginning of his solo career. The singer has shared in a statement that he signed with Republic Records and promises new music soon. The boy band superstar has a number of songwriting and creative credits with 1D. The group sold over 20 million albums worldwide, received six BRIT Awards, seven American Music Awards, 11 MTV Europe Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and 27 Teen Choice Awards.
