Eric Clapton Releases Live Video For 'Wonderful Tonight'
.
(hennemusic) Eric Clapton is streaming a performance of his 1977 hit "Wonderful Tonight" from the recently-released set, "Live In San Diego with Special Guest JJ Cale." The second single from "Slowhand" peaked at No. 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while the album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 3 million in the States. "Live In San Diego" captures Clapton in a 2007 concert as part of a tour in support of his and Cale's 2006 album, "The Road To Escondido." Cale sits in on five tracks, including three from "Escondido" and two made famous by Clapton: "After Midnight" and "Cocaine." The guitar icon recently revealed the extent of health issues that have made playing music, among other things, a challenge for the 71-year-old. "I've had quite a lot of pain over the last year," said Clapton. "It started with lower back pain and turned into what they call peripheral neuropathy, which is where you feel like you have electric shocks going down your leg. [It's] hard work to play the guitar and I've had to come to terms with the fact that it will not improve. And I've had to figure out how to deal with some other things from getting old." here. hennemusic is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. advertisement |
