Thomas Rhett Releases 'Star of the Show' Video
.
(Radio.com) Thomas Rhett released the new music video for "Star of the Show" on Monday (November 14th). The song is featured on the deluxe edition of his "Tangled Up" album. Shot in a single take, the clever video finds Rhett moving through each scene with viewers aware of what's going to happen thanks to frozen actions laid out just moments ahead of him. In the beginning, he gets up from the couch with a football in hand and walks up to a football frozen in mid-air. Before he reaches it, Rhett throws his football, which passes through the football in mid-air, and he continues on. The video was directed by TK McKamy. Rhett praised the approach in a statement. "This music video was unlike anything we've shot before, which is why I always love teaming up with TK," Rhett said in a press release. "He captured that feeling I get when [my wife] Lauren walks into a room, no matter where we are, and the spotlight completely turns to her. The song was sped up double-time to get to point A to point B, and there were a lot of moving parts we had to execute perfectly for the video to make sense. We literally got it in the last take of the shoot." Watch the video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. advertisement |
