(Gibson) Man of the World: The Peter Green Story, the documentary about the Fleetwood Mac founder that aired in the U.K. back in 2009 is finally coming to DVD for a U.S. release on November 18th.

The film contains extensive and archive footage of live and studio performances, stills and original in-depth interviews with Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Mike Vernon (producer of Fleetwood Mac's Blue Horizons albums), Noel Gallagher, John Mayall, Dennis Keane (road manager), Martin Celmins (Peter's official biographer), Carlos Santana, Jeremy Spencer (the original Fleetwood Mac guitarist) and many others who worked with or know Green. Preorder it here.

Here is the synopsis: "After replacing the Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Green went on to form Fleetwood Mac, one of the most successful bands of the Britain Blues Explosion. But after he left Fleetwood Mac, Green spent years in non-playing 'retirement' before a comeback.

"The film traces his early success with Pert Green's Fleetwood Mac (as they were fully called) - with the likes of 'Black Magic Woman,' 'Albatross,' and 'Oh Well' - and explores Green's drug use and his spiral into schizophrenia. It also examines how the electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) treatment he received arguably prolonged his illness and his absence from music. The story continues with Green's recovery and his return to the recording studio and live music scene in the mid-'90s." Read more here.
