Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Rocks Janis Joplin Classic
. ![]() Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been exploring country music with his new solo music, but that hasn't stopped him from returning to his classic rock roots when performing live. Tyler rocked a version of the Janis Joplin classic "Piece of My Heart" during his show at the David Geffen Hall at New York City's Lincoln Center for Performing arts on Monday night (May 2nd). The rocker turned country songster performed some of his new solo songs during the set, as well as a number of classic Aerosmith tracks and EW.com reports that he told the NYC crowd, "Don't forget I'm from f-ing New York City.
