Blake Shelton Accused Of Providing False Testimony

(Radio.com) There is a new development in Blake Shelton's defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing and In Touch magazine. Shelton is suing the magazine for a September cover story that alleged his drinking led to his divorce from Miranda Lambert and that he was headed to rehab.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bauer has accused Shelton of providing false testimony in reference to a trip to Cancun, Mexico. "Shelton resorts to apparent false testimony," states a memorandum on behalf of the plaintiff.

"He declares that the Article's depiction of his Mexico trip was 'fabricated,' because the 'partying' described at the Hotel ME Melia in Cancun could not have occurred as during his trip he 'did not stay at the hotel ME Melia Cancun or visit it.' Yet, indisputable photographic evidence places Shelton at that very hotel and with the blonde guest described in the Article." Read the Shelton camp's response here.
