Thom Yorke Plays Surprise Acoustic Set At Garden Party
. ![]() (Radio.com) Radiohead fans the world over were devastated when the band's tour sold out in mere seconds back in March. But it turns out it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to hear them, or at least Thom Yorke, perform live. It just takes being friends with Yorke's neighbor in Oxford. Yorke appeared at his neighbor's garden party on Sunday (June 12), where he performed a 30 minute acoustic set. The world learned about the appearance when a Reddit user's father texted him, according to NME. "In Oxford at garden party with Suzie's neighbours, about to hear entertainment from neighbour Thom York of Radiohead," he wrote his son, misspelling Yorke's last name. His son corrected him, and then asked his dad to get an autograph or cut off a lock of Yorke's hair. An attendee captured a brief moment from Yorke's set. Watch it here.
