Kanye West Cancels New York Pop-Up Show

(Radio.com) Severe rain and the threat of lightning storms forced the cancellation of the final day of the Gov Ball 2016 festival Sunday (June 5) at Randalls Island in New York. But headliner Kanye West wasn't going to let that stop him from playing the Big Apple. He immediately made plans to perform at radio station concert, where he and his label mates from G.O.O.D. Music wowed the crowd. Then, he planned a pop-up show at New York venue Webster Hall. He, his wife Kim Kardashian, 2 Chainz and Virgil Abloh teased the concert on social media. But that one didn't play out as planned. West's show was set to start at 2 a.m. and fans engulfed four city blocks surrounding the club for a chance to see Yeezy. Two hours before his gig the rapper tweeted that the show was sold out. Then, minutes before 1 a.m. the venue tweeted that there would be no concert. Read more here.
