Zayn Malik Reveals Details For His New Solo Album
. Mind of Mine's first single "Pillow Talk" will debut today January 29th. Malik already has a music video filmed for the track, which he will release later. Appearing on Beats 1 Radio, Malik talked about the project and his creative control over it. "In terms of collaborating, for creative direction, I'm not collaborating with anybody," he said. "It's all my creative direction. That's something that's massively liberating, shall we say. It feels great to just do whatever and kind of take the responsibility on myself, and be like, 'Yeah, I did that, so if you don't like it then it's cool.' Because I like it so I don't give a [bleep]." He also shared hints about some of the other songs on the album. Describing one called "She," Malik explained, "It's a bit more of a party tune, and it's a bit moreit's not as intense lyrically, it's more about a good time." Malik hopes that the fun he had writing and recording the song comes across to listeners. "Hopefully people can hear that in the music, because that's what I'm trying to portray: what I'm going through. And if it sounds like I'm having a good time, it probably meant I was having a good time." Elsewhere in the interview, Malik detailed how quickly things escalated after the group appeared on X Factor U.K. Read about that here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
