Metallica's Lars Ulrich Added To Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

.
(Radio.com) On Thursday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sent out an email trumpeting their first three guest announcements for 2016 Induction Ceremony: Lars Ulrich of Metallica, the Black Keys and Rob Thomas. However, they didn't say what parts of the ceremony each artist will be involved in.

It's not a stretch to imagine that Ulrich will be on hand to present Deep Purple. A few years ago, when Rolling Stone spoke with the drummer about the Hall of Fame inductions, he said, "I'm not gonna get into the politics or all that stuff, but I got two words to say: 'Deep Purple.' That's all I have to say: Deep Purple. Seriously, people, 'Deep Purple.'"

Who the other two will be there for is up for speculation. But the Black Keys is a midwestern band who has consistently knocked out radio-friendly hits for years, so they would seem to be a logical choice to do the honors for Cheap Trick. Read more here.
