02/03/2016
.
(Radio.com) Drake's getting in on the Super Bowl commercial action. The rapper appears in a new T-Mobile spot that samples his "Hotline Bling." Taking the song's main lyric, "You used to call me on my cellphone," the ad uses it as a jumping off point to poke fun of other cellphone company's hidden fees, massive contracts and more.

In the middle of a reshoot for "Hotline Bling," cellphone executives stop Drake and ask him to tweak his lyrics. One exec informs him, "When you say 'Call me on my cellphone,' just add, 'Device eligible for upgrade after 24 months.'" Another mentions that Drake needs to clarify about streaming data charges.

Wearing his famous oatmeal-colored turtleneck sweater from the original video, Drake flashes them a huge smile and chuckles. "Fantastic idea," he tell the execs. "These changes don't ruin the song at all." Read more here.
