Chris Martin Reveals Springsteen's Super Bowl Advice

(Radio.com) Coldplay has been putting in a great deal of rehearsal time to make sure their Super Bowl performance is a memorable one. Frontman Chris Martin took a break from rehearsing with the band to talk to Anthony Mason of CBS Sunday Morning.

During the interview, Martin revealed the advice he got from Bruce Springsteen about performing at the big game. "I love the whole concept of trying to present your entire musical life in twelve and a half minutes, it's a great challenge, said Martin. "After fifteen years of the band we've possibly got eleven good minutes, he laughs, "so we have some special guests, and they'll cover the rest."

The advice from the Boss? "It's gotta be muscle memory," Martin relates, doing his best Springsteen impression. "You gotta know every note man, 12 minutes, it ain't not long, but it's long enough." Read more here.
