Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood Special Orchestra Shows Announced
. ![]() (Gibson) It would seem that Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood can't sit still. Over the last year, he's been involved with two major albums - Junun, his collaboration with Israeli musician Shye Ben Tzur and Indian folk ensemble Rajasthan Express and of course, A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead's ninth studio album. In addition, he also contributed to Frank Ocean's two albums this year, Endless and Blonde. Now, the London Contemporary Orchestra has announced a series of UK-only concerts in 2017 featuring live orchestral performances of Greenwood's score for There Will Be Blood, alongside screenings of the film. And the kicker? Greenwood will perform with the orchestra on the Ondes Martenot, the vintage electronic instrument that he's become known for. The four concerts will take place in London (January 30th, though it's been announced that Greenwood will not be a part of this performance), Birmingham (February 5th), Brighton (February 6th) and Bristol (February 7th).
