David Gilmour Streams New Song 'Today'
. "'Today' was one of the ones that Phil [Manzanera] put together from two or three pieces of music of mine that I had sort of ignored," says Gilmour. "He's very good at finding them and saying, 'that's great, you should it � and how about using it with that piece and that piece.' So he mocked that one up. It's a gift." Due September 18, the 10-track set delivers five tunes with lyrics by the Pink Floyd guitarist's wife, author Polly Samson, and two by Gilmour alongside three instrumentals. Gilmour performed a warm-up show for his upcoming world tour in support of "Rattle That Lock" in Brighton, UK on September 5.
