Ludacris Executive Producing New Marching Band Drama For CBS

(Radio.com) CBS (Radio.com parent) has given the green light for a marching band drama, titled The Down Beat, which will be executive produced by rapper Ludacris.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor and rapper will executive produce the CBS show alongside Ryan Seacrest Productions scripted programming executive VP Nina Wass.

The show is described The Down Beat as "an inspiring story of a former business mogul on a warpath for personal retribution, who is determined to take down two warring gangs in the mean streets of Atlanta by offering possible teen recruits an unlikely refuge: a high school marching band."
