Sam Gellaitry Releases 'Escapism' EP
. To celebrate the release Gellaitry has announced an EP launch party at Phonox in Brixton this Friday, December 4th. Fans can listen to the new EP online at this location. We were sent the following details about the EP: The release of the Escapism EP also sees XL Recordings continuing to reconnect with the spirit of the label's early days. XL's early reputation was built around a series of underground, club-focused, outsider rave 12"s from the likes of The Prodigy, SL2, Awesome 3 and Jonny L. Sam Gellaitry harnesses that spirit and brings it right up to date in 2015. Escapism incorporates Sam's bright experimental production and demonstrates his versatility and influences. The EP is representative of a journey from consciousness to unconsciousness and takes in a wide spectrum of sounds and textures, creating a chaotic but enthralling kaleidoscope of music.
