(Radio.com) Four young men in Oklahoma are singing Blake Shelton's praises after he rescued them from a mudslide near the Wash*ta River in Ardmore, Okla., on Friday (Nov. 13).

ET reports that Bryar Blanton and his friend Adrian Poplin were walking along the side of a road looking for help after their friends Lenyell Blanton and Josh Turner had gotten stuck in a mudhole.

"Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies [accidentally] slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours," Blanton told ET. "Me and Adrian started walking down the road [looking for help] and [that's when] Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck."

Blake didn't hesitate to help the young men. "He told [Adrian and I] to hop in," he continued. "Then, we went back to the river [where my friends were stuck] and he tried to get them out with his truck. He couldn't do it, so he said he would be back in 15 minutes with his tractor." Read more here.
