(Radio.com) Coldplay frontman Chris Martin reveals in a interview that the group's new single "Adventure Of A Lifetime," was inspired in part by the Guns N' Roses megahit "Sweet Child Of Mine."

The song comes from the group's forthcoming album A Head Full of Dreams, which will be released early next month. Martin spoke to Jeff Regan on SiriusXM (via Radio.com) about the track:

"I'd been begging Jonny our guitarist for years to make a riff that I like as much as 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns N' Roses. Then he showed me that one, and I was like, 'That's it!'

"So those elements all came together, and we just wanted to kind of embrace our love of joyful music and sort of let it free." Read more here.
