Lars Ulrich Excited About Metallica's 'Night Before' Super Bowl Show

(Radio.com) Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich spoke with Radio Alice in San Francisco about the band headlining the CBS Radio's "The Night Before" concert, which will take place the evening prior to Super Bowl 50, will take place at AT&T Park in San Francisco and will feature Cage the Elephant opening.

"So, there's a small sports event happening in February, it's Super Bowl 50," he said. "It's gonna be here in the Bay Area, and that whole week is gonna be Super Bowl madness, and one of the crazy events that week will be a giant Metallica show, the night before the Super Bowl."

"We're super proud to be play a big hometown gig. Metallica, being from San Francisco, flying the flag for all things Bay Area all over the world, to be part of the Super Bowl at home is an awesome thing for us� We came up here in 1983 and for 32 years, we fly the flag for San Francisco and we're very proud of that."
