Van Halen Rock Classic Song At Billboard Awards

. (hennemusic) Van Halen opened the 2015 Billboard Music Awards Sunday night with a high-energy performance of their 1984 hit, "Panama" and video of the performance has been posted online.

The band made their first-ever performance with the current lineup at an awards show to promote their latest release, "Tokyo Dome Live In Concert", as well as their summer tour of North America, which begins in Seattle on July 5.

The event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas also saw performances by Simple Minds, Hozier, Ed Sheeran and other pop and rap acts.

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social-media interactions. Watch video of the performance here.
