Paul McCartney To Present Ringo Starr At Rock Induction Event
. (Radio.com) Both living Beatles will be present at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland next month. The Rock Hall has announced most of their presenters and performers for the ceremony, and they've confirmed that Paul McCartney will be presenting his one-time bandmate Ringo Starr at the event. No word on whether the duo will perform together. McCartney and Starr have only performed together on rare occasions in the years since the Beatles split up; most recently, they played at the GRAMMY Awards in 2014, and on the following night at The Night That Changed America: A GRAMMY Salute To The Beatles. Other presenters include Stevie Wonder for Bill Withers, Patti Smith for Lou Reed, Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Fall Out Boy for Green Day, John Mayer for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and Steve Cropper of Booker T & the MGs for the "5" Royales.
