Jerrod Niemann, Chris Young Lead Boots on the Beach Fest
. (Radio.com) Country music isn't typically associated with the beach, particularly international resorts like those found in Jamaica. Boots for cowboys are made less to walk in sand and more the dust of the range, the prairie, the farm, and the rodeo. But, Boots on the Beach is the latest in country music's attempts to change this image, now with an event in Jamaica that functions as much a re-imagining of what a country concert can be as it is a full-on getaway. Headlining the event will be Jerrod Niemann, Chris Young, and Tyler Farr will headline the event, held from May 22-25 of this year, better known as Memorial Day Weekend. Sandals Resorts will host the event in Ocho Rios, and while all guests will receive access to acoustic sessions with the artists and pool parties, booking through Funjet Vacations adds meet-and-greets, preferred seating, t-shirt and gift bag.
