Jason Derulo Premieres New Song 'Want to Want Me'
. (Radio.com) Get ready for Jason Derulo to heat up the radio with the release of his instantly catchy new single "Want to Want Me." The song is likely the first release of Derulo's upcoming full-length album, which is rumored for a summer release. Derulo displays a silky falsetto in the song's verses over a percolating bass line before opening up into a huge singalong chorus heavy with an '80s pop/new wave feel (complete with a quick homage to INXS's 1987 hit, "Need You Tonight" in the intro) that's sure to drive the track onto playlists and charts over the coming weeks. There's no indication of when exactly fans can expect that new album to drop, Derulo has said that he'll use the opportunity to address his breakup with ex-girlfriend and fellow pop star, Jordin Sparks.
