Big Sean Admits That 'IDFWU' Is About Naya Rivera
. (Radio.com) The world long suspected Big Sean's hit track "IDFWU" might have been about a specific ex-fiancee of his, Naya Rivera who stars in Glee. In a new feature in Complex, the rapper confirms it. With a caveat. First Sean broke down what happened with the pair's very public break up, that included accusations of theft on Twitter. Complex reports Sean revealed that "the relationship dissolved because the two began arguing more than they did anything else." They go on to say he refused to comment about rumors that she was controlling and jealous. He did, however, go on record about the rumor that he stole a Rolex from her after the break. "First of all, why would I have to steal a Rolex?" Sean said. "Second of all, every Rolex that I have, I have receipts for, papers for, certificates of authenticity for. I would never steal a Rolex from anybody. You see that tweet got deleted in like 20 seconds." Sean then delves into Rivera's role as muse for the track "IDFWU."The majority of the song, Sean explained, was written while the two were still in a relationship. He told Complex the whole track is not about her but that he was thinking of their relationship when he wrote the lyrics "and everyday I wake up celebrating s, why? 'Cause I just dodged a bullet from a crazy b-." Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
